Telegram 13.0 has been out for several days, but the big anniversary update still has no proper blog announcement. That is unusual for a major Telegram release — especially one that puts Money inside the app across main platforms.
The product exists. The launch still feels half-hidden.
🔝 What changed
⚫️ Telegram 13.0 added Money / Gram Wallet to the app line
⚫️ The wallet is already present on major platforms
⚫️ There is still no separate official blog post for the rollout
⚫️ Access remains hidden by default for many users
⚫️ To activate it, people still use workaround-style mechanics
⚫️ Current public stats show only around 81K users have actually used the wallet
⚫️ Today’s growth was reportedly only about 800 new addresses
🔝 Why it matters
⚫️ Durov promised the largest non-custodial wallet rollout in history
⚫️ The original pitch was about Telegram’s billion-user audience
⚫️ Right now, the reality looks much smaller than the promise
⚫️ A wallet hidden behind activation tricks is not a mass rollout
⚫️ Telegram may be testing slowly, but the silence makes the launch look unfinished
⚫️ For TON, the difference between “inside Telegram” and “actually used by Telegram users” is everything
Telegram Money is technically here, but the scale is not. No big blog post, no open access, no billion-user moment yet. For now, it looks less like the biggest wallet rollout in history and more like a soft launch that Telegram is not ready to call a launch.
