🇿🇦🔴 At Least 11 Killed in South Africa Township Shooting

At least 11 people, including a pregnant woman, were killed after armed men opened fire at a house party in KwaMakhutha township near Durban, South Africa, officials said.

The attackers reportedly entered the house shortly before 11pm on Tuesday while people were gathered for a party. Two people survived the attack.

The motive remains unclear. Police said preliminary investigations indicated that some of those killed were known to Crime Intelligence over suspected illegal activities, while a feud between rival groups has not been ruled out.

South Africa continues to face high levels of violent crime, with authorities deploying additional security forces in some crime hotspots.
