🇾🇪 Yemeni Government Forces Claim Control of Bab el-Mandeb

Yemeni government forces claim they have taken control of the strategic Bab el-Mandeb area from the Houthis during “Operation Dawn of Yemen,” Anadolu Agency reports.

The army says the Southern Giants Brigades and Nation’s Shield forces also seized Dhubab airport and cut the road between Dhubab and Mokha. Hundreds of Houthi fighters were reportedly surrounded in the area.

Bab el-Mandeb is a critical maritime route linking the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden, making the reported development significant for international shipping.
