🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 Al Arabiya: Washington Rejects Tehran’s Demand to Lift Blockade as Window for Deal Narrows

Al Arabiya, citing a U.S. source attending meetings in New York, reported that the window for reaching an agreement between Iran and the United States is limited, with major differences and obstacles still remaining.

The source said Washington has rejected Tehran’s request to lift the blockade against Iran. The talks have also included a proposal involving the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for easing sanctions and the blockade against Iran.

No final understanding has been reached so far, the source said, adding that discussions are continuing in an effort to reach an agreement.

The Iranian delegation, which met with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, emphasized that it has full authority to negotiate, according to the source.
