🇩🇪🇺🇦 Germany’s Merz visits Kyiv amid escalating Russian attacks

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit, pledging continued German support for Ukraine as Russian missile and drone attacks intensify.

Merz said Ukraine needs Germany’s support and warned that if Russia is not stopped, its “war machine” could eventually threaten others.

The visit comes as Kyiv faces growing pressure on critical infrastructure and energy supplies ahead of winter.
