❗️Mecca Pact activated as Pakistan, Turkiye prepare Saudi troop deployment

The Mecca Pact was activated on Monday, with Pakistan and Turkiye agreeing to accelerate preparations for deploying troops and military capabilities to Saudi Arabia under their new mutual defense alliance.

The decision followed an emergency meeting of the Strategic-Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Alliance for Defense in Riyadh on 5 October, amid ongoing attacks against Saudi Arabia by Ansarallah.

A joint statement said the committee had decided to “move immediately to the practical implementation” of collective defense commitments and take the necessary steps to provide agreed forces and capabilities for rapid deployment in Saudi Arabia.
