Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said today, that the war with the US "has not ended" and that Iran is prepared for a prolonged confrontation.
Speaking to Al-Alam, Mohebbi said any renewed US attack would prompt significant changes in Iran’s defensive and counteroffensive operations, including the use of new weapons and capabilities and a shift in the geographic scope of its response. He also said Iran had identified new targets that had not previously been attacked.
Mohebbi said the IRGC had been prepared for a prolonged war before the current fighting and was now "even more prepared." He also said that Washington had suffered a "historic and humiliating defeat" and had failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
