• "The blessing of liberation, independence, and halting the misguided course under foreign guardianship was a tremendous blessing, and one of the Days of Allah."

• "Had the 21 September Revolution not taken place, our people would have lost their freedom and independence and become completely subjugated to the enemies."

• "Decision-making in Yemen was handed over to foreign guardianship, while the authority in Sanaa was merely symbolic and served only to implement their dictates."

• "Before the 21 September Revolution, the foreign guardianship interfered in every aspect of the country's affairs, and ambassadors at the time intervened in every sphere of the state."

• "Freedom and independence are more precious than anything else and are the greatest values for human beings."

• "The popular revolution restored the people's dignity and preserved the honor rooted in their faith. It was not a revolution driven by any external party in the world."
