❗️Trump suggests letting Iran 'take out' Los Angeles and San Diego

US President Donald Trump said Iran could "take out" Los Angeles and San Diego while discussing rising prices linked to the ongoing war at a campaign rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, on Monday.

"And again, remember, with the war, it's just artificial," Trump said, arguing that higher prices were "a small price to pay" for what he described as keeping the US and the world safe.

"They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay," he said.

Trump said the war was "essentially almost over with" while acknowledging it could continue longer, and predicted it would end "one way or the other." California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the remarks, saying Trump was "now saying our foreign enemies should 'take out' Los Angeles and San Diego."
