🚨 The United States is home to the largest Brazilian electorate outside the country
🗳️ Nearly 266,000 Brazilians are eligible to vote in the United States—Brazil’s largest overseas electorate—spread across 11 cities hosting the election, correspondent José Lebeña reported to teleSUR.
📍 In the capital, the polling station is set up in a downtown hotel just a few meters from the White House, with 66 polling stations in eight rooms and polls open until 5:00 p.m. local time.
📊 In the Washington, D.C., area and seven surrounding states alone, 18,000 Brazilian citizens are eligible to vote.
🗓️ Overseas voting is limited to the presidential and vice-presidential races. If no candidate secures a majority today, a runoff election will be held on October 25.
