🇺🇸⚡️ — Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has ordered the Pentagon to use “advanced intelligence and cyber capabilities” to identify, disrupt, and neutralize foreign interference in the November midterm elections, according to Axios.

A September 22 memo directs U.S. Cyber Command and defense intelligence agencies to prioritize foreign election threats, gather intelligence on potential interference, and work with the Department of Homeland Security to counter cyberattacks targeting election infrastructure.

The directive does not authorize military personnel to deploy to polling locations.

Officials said the effort will employ the Pentagon’s “most advanced AI capabilities to date.”
