🇺🇸⚡️ — A breach of the Pentagon’s Defense Manpower Data Center exposed sensitive personal information belonging to 2.76 million living people and 294,000 deceased individuals, including Social Security numbers and details about their military or civilian jobs, ABC News reports.

The unauthorized access occurred between October 2025 and July 2026, when the vulnerability was discovered and fixed.

The database contains more than 60 million personnel records covering active-duty and reserve troops, civilian employees, contractors, retirees, veterans and military family members.

There is currently no evidence that the exposed information has been misused, and affected individuals are being offered identity protection and credit-monitoring services.
