🇮🇱🇪🇬🇵🇸⚡️ — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied reports that Egypt warned him about a Hamas attack ahead of October 7, saying he neither met nor spoke with then-Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in the preceding months and that no Israeli intelligence official informed him of any Egyptian warning.

Netanyahu said he has ordered a defamation lawsuit over the allegations and accused Israeli media of conducting a “vile and false campaign” aimed at shifting responsibility for the failures preceding October 7 onto him.

His statement specifically accused former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar of failing to contact Netanyahu or adequately warn Israeli forces despite discussing warning signs with senior military officials.

He also alleged that “foreign and hostile countries and entities, including Arab countries” were helping promote the claims in an effort to bring down Netanyahu’s government.

He concluded by framing the issue around the next election: “Either the right, or a Palestinian state.”
