Swift Backup v5.1.0 - Full changelog:
Android 17 Support- Swift Backup now targets Android 17.
-
Local network access: Added support for Android 17's Local network permission so LAN/self-hosted backups continue to work with local servers via SMB, SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, etc.
New: Folder Backups- Back up important folders to device storage or supported cloud services.
-
Single or Incremental Backup: Keep one up-to-date backup or save only files changed since the previous backup.
- Restore folders to their original location or choose a custom restore location.
New Backup Format- The new backup format improves backup and restore speed, provides smoother progress updates, and better handles complex Android app data used by apps like Termux and Android Virtualization Terminal.
-
Lower storage requirement: Each backup part now needs only enough free space for that part; previous versions needed at least twice as much.
-
Important: Backups created with v5.1.0 cannot be restored using older Swift Backup versions. Please update Swift Backup before restoring these backups on another device.
- Existing backups created by older Swift Backup versions can still be restored in v5.1.0.
App Backups-
Notification channels: Added backup and restore support for notification channel settings.
-
App permissions: Backed-up permission choices now preserve both allowed and denied permissions.

WiFi-
Shizuku support: You can now back up and restore WiFi networks on Android 11+.
