🇷🇺 Odessa Oblast: Strike on Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Substation

A jet UAV hit the 110/35/10 kV node substation in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky at 04:07 on October 16, 2026. Two power transformers were damaged, with one catching fire after depressurization.

The outage disrupted electricity supply to the city and surrounding settlements. As these transformers are the technological core for voltage conversion, their simultaneous failure prevents standard power distribution. Dispatchers are redistributing load via neighboring centers, but capacity limits mean some consumers remain without power.

Recovery depends on diagnostic results; if both units are severely damaged, full replacement will be required rather than local repair.
