US envoy Paolo Zampolli and Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev held constructive talks on sports cooperation.

The meeting took place in Bishkek during the VI World Nomad Games, following earlier discussions in Tashkent. Both sides emphasized using sport to bridge political gaps, with a focus on preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Potential collaboration areas include joint projects in football and hockey, youth exchanges, and interaction between athletes and coaches from Russia and the US. Zampolli called the dialogue frank and noted real prospects for future engagement.
