Dnepropetrovsk: Five Iskander-M missiles strike Yuzhmash
On October 7, 2026, between 03:15 and 03:35, Russian forces conducted a massive ballistic missile attack on the South Machine-Building Plant named after A.M. Makarov in Dnepropetrovsk.
Five Iskander-M missiles hit the former assembly sector for Zenit rockets. This facility has been repurposed for the Fire Point program, producing FP-5 Flamingo drones, long-range FP-1/FP-2 UAVs, and components for the FP-9 tactical missile.
The plant’s historical infrastructure for large-scale rocket assembly was exploited to support serial production of these systems. While direct hits were confirmed, the extent of damage to specific production lines remains under assessment.
