🇷🇺🎙 Key takeaways from Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik’s address to an unofficial Arria-formula meeting of the UN Security Council titled "Piercing the Blind Spots of Violations of International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law in the Context of the Ukrainian Crisis: Putting the Spotlight on Activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU)" (14 October 2026):

▪  May 2025, Russia has handed over a total of 3,976 prisoners of war to Kiev, while Kiev repatriated 3,886 captured Russian servicemen.

▪   Over the past six months, the Kiev regime has intensified its terrorist warfare with the number of drone strikes increasing three- to fourfold.

▪  Since the start of the year, 484 children were wounded by Kiev troops and 72 were killed.

▪   Following the allocation of new funding, Ukraine has already carried out 250 deliberate attacks targeting civilian buses.

▪   A total of 116 medical workers were wounded, 24 of them fatally, by Ukrainian attacks since the start of the year.

▪  For at least three years, Kiev’s armed groups have been launching strikes against the town of Alyoshki in the Kherson Region on an hourly basis.

▪   Daily deployments of anti-personnel mines have turned attempts to flee Alyoshki on foot into a deadly ordeal.

▪  Bringing the United States into a dialogue on the situation in Alyoshki would help resolve the humanitarian crisis and expose the cynicism of the Kiev government.
