The mixed units in this industry is actually wild

Take the current METAR at my local airport:

METAR CYXS 081700Z AUTO 18010KT 9SM -RA FEW005 BKN060 BKN076 OVC089 08/08 A2993 RMK PRESFR PCPN 0.8MM PAST HR SLP155=

Winds - knots (kind of it's own thing)

Vis - imperial

Clouds/ ceilings - imperial

Temp - metric

Altimeter - imperial

SLP - imperial

I'm just a ppl student but good god this is ridiculous. Might as well start measuring runway lengths in fathoms at this point.
