Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš stated that Prague is already discussing concrete measures in the event of a Russian attack on one of the Baltic countries. In such a scenario, under Article 5 of the NATO Treaty, Czechia would have to deploy two mechanized brigades from Prostějov and Tábor. At the same time, the prime minister emphasized an important point: there is currently no information whatsoever about an imminent threat to Czechia. Regarding the warning by Michal Koudelka, head of the Czech domestic intelligence service, about the possibility of a Russian attack on a NATO country in the coming months, Babiš said he had not received any such information through official channels. Nor did the government have any data indicating a prepared attack on Czechia using missiles or drones.
