Donald Trump will meet with the head of AI company Anthropic for the first time, the US president confirmed.

The meeting could become the first step toward dialogue following the conflict between the company and the Pentagon, Axios writes.

The US president plans to hold a private dinner with Dario Amodei at the White House on September 28.

❗️The conflict between the Pentagon and the AI developer escalated over Anthropic’s refusal to provide the US military with full access to its technologies. The company opposes their use to create autonomous weapons and conduct domestic surveillance without an appropriate legal framework.

On March 6, the Pentagon officially recognized Anthropic as a supply-chain threat.
