- In 2025, the Banderol missile entered service with Russian aviation, and its already had a large impact on the war. The cheap, maneuverable, and speedy missile carries a large payload that inflicts heavy damage to areas with few short-range air defenses.
- Despite its revolutionary qualities, the Banderol already faces competition: The Dan-T.
- Ukrainian veteran kriegsforscherD was one of the first to publicly comment about this new system. According to him, the Dan-T has a range of 500 kilometers with a warhead of approximately 135 kilograms. The missile can reportedly be launched from Su-25, Su-30, Su-34, Su-57, and Mi-28 aircraft.
- Analysts believe that Russia is planning to produce 10,000 of these missiles in 2027.
- The most important features of the project are its use of domestic components and estimated 35% lower cost compared to the Banderol (per United24).

- Russia has stockpiled and produced thousands of Geran drones in preparation for the winter, and the results of this process are already being felt.
- Ukraine's official news outlets claim that on the day of the 28th of August alone, Russia launched nearly 100 drones (mostly jet-powered) at the country. Besides that, 7 Banderol missiles were detected by the Ukrainian air force.
- It's likely that Russia intends to create a state of constant alert in Ukraine during the winter months by utilizing a large number of cheap munitions daily.
