ℹ️: Understanding the ever-growing threat of drones as winter approaches.
- For the last 48 hours, Kyiv has almost constantly been under an air alert. The main culprit of this circumstance has been Russia's expanding arsenal of jet drones.
- Russia has stockpiled and produced thousands of Geran drones in preparation for the winter, and the results of this process are already being felt.
- Ukraine's official news outlets claim that on the day of the 28th of August alone, Russia launched nearly 100 drones (mostly jet-powered) at the country. Besides that, 7 Banderol missiles were detected by the Ukrainian air force.
- It's likely that Russia intends to create a state of constant alert in Ukraine during the winter months by utilizing a large number of cheap munitions daily.
- Information shows that Russia is continuing to diversify its portfolio of cheap drones and missiles. There is nothing that Ukraine can do to prevent the onslaught of air alerts from these weapons, and it's also extremely difficult to stop them all from reaching their targets. There may come a time when Ukrainian skies are filled with several hundred such projectiles everyday.
- Russia's drone tactics continue to evolve, now shifting from launching hundreds of simple drones to hundreds of quick and maneuverable jet-drones alongside lightweight cruise missiles.
