🇲🇩: On the 5th of October, a projectile struck the Palanca-Maiaky border crossing between Moldova and Ukraine.

- According to Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities, a bus and border control booth were damaged during the incident. Reportedly, a border officer suffered minor injuries.
- Moldovan officials have not disclosed the nature of the projectile, though it's known that it landed in the area during a Russian attack on the Odessa region of Ukraine.
- Traffic at the border was temporary closed as a result of the incident.

✈️: A massive Russian missile attack against Ukraine with the involvement of strategic aviation may take place tomorrow (October 7th).

- Monitors have reported the redeployment of several Tu-95MS aircraft from Ukrainka Airbase towards Olenya Airbase. There are also 3 Tu-160s present at Ukrainka Airbase which are likely armed with KH-101 cruise missiles.
- During the last attack involving strategic aviation, Tu-160s flew directly to their launch positions from Ukrainka Airbase, while Tu-95MS aircraft flew to launch positions from Olenya Airbase.
- Russia has also accumulated over 30 missiles of the types: S-400, Iskander-M, Oniks-M, Zircon, and KN-23/24. The biggest threat in regards to these missiles is to the Kyiv region.
- As we noted in previous posts, Russia has begun its campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure. It's possible that power plants in and around Kyiv could be the primary targets of the missiles.

💥: Earlier today, Russia struck industrial areas in Kharkiv with glide-bombs.

- According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 5 deaths and several casualties occurred as a result of the attack.
- The primary targets of the strikes appeared to be factory warehouses.
- According to city administration, a gas station was also struck by a drone during the day.

✈️: A follow-up on the missile threat for Kyiv: As AMK Mapping said in his post, it either happens today or in coordination with the next attack involving Russian strategic aviation. As of now it seems that the 2nd option is more likely, though a smaller attack might take place before then. We expect an update about Russian strategic aviation movements within the next 24 hours. 25+ ballistic missiles and an unknown number of cruise missiles will likely be used during the next massive attack.

💥: During the 5th of October, Ukraine's Kanatove Airbase in the Kirovohrad region was targeted by 4 KH-59/69 cruise missiles launched from Su-57s and 2 Banderol cruise missiles launched from unknown sources. Kanatove Airbase is one of the only functioning Ukrainian bases close to the front that's capable of housing fighter jets.

🚀: The reason why there's currently a yellow alert in the Rivne and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine despite there being no Russian drones over the area is because a Geran-5 seems to have flown into Belarusian territory and is moving erratically.

UPDATE: The air alert for Rivne Oblast was lifted after almost an hour. It's still unclear where the Geran-5 ended up, but it's not uncommon for Russian drones to occasionally drift away from Ukraine under the influence of electronic warfare or some other form of interference. Just a month ago a Belarusian Su-30 was scrambled due to a stray Banderol missile over the country.

🇵🇱: Air alerts were yet again triggered in eastern Poland today at around 3:50 AM local time due to the presence of a Russian drone over the Ukrainian Volyn region.

- The drone yet again posed no threat to Poland and targeted the city of Lutsk just moments after the alert was issued.

ℹ️: On the topic of Kyiv, Russia launched a large number of Geran-2 drones (likely over 40) in the direction of the city during the last few hours alongside the usual waves of Geran-4/5s, but most of the Geran-2s were intercepted or impacted in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

ℹ️: On the 5th of October, at about 1:30 AM local time, an air alert was issued for the Odessa region of Ukraine. The alert ended at approximately 2:50 AM local time after the following Russian munitions attacked the area:

- ~9 KAB glide-bombs launched from Su-34s in the Black Sea.
- ~25 drones of various types (including jet-drones).

The attack mainly consisted of Geran-2 drones, though some jet-drones and glide-bombs were also used. It is known that glide-bombs struck the Chornomorsk and Odessa port areas, while drones struck targets primarily in the direction of Vilkove. Throughout the day, several smaller drone attacks against the region also took place. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that 2 cargo ships transporting military equipment were struck by drones in the Black Sea. Another small wave of drones is currently approaching the region.

⚠️: Additional follow-up on alerts: Drones have been targeting CHP-5 and CHP-6 in the Kyiv region over the last few days. This confirms that Russia has likely begun its systematic campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The primary targets of attacks during the next few days will likely include bridges in Kyiv and Odessa, as well as gas and energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Finally, the airspace over Kapustin Yar remains closed for unknown reasons (likely related to testing), though this NOTAM will expire within a few hours.

There would also be a threat of Oniks-M, Zircon, and Kalibr launches. The main targets of the attack will likely be energy infrastructure in Kyiv, Poltava, Dnipro, and other eastern regions. Kyiv has already experienced power complications after the last attack on the city targeted CHP-5.

🇾🇪: Update on the Yemeni Civil War (with liveuamap.com as a map reference):

- Liveuamap is understandably slow with updates as the situation is very volatile in the region, but based on recent geolocations, it seems that Houthi forces have entered the key city of Turbah. This update, along with other developments in the eastern direction, mean that the city of Taizz is under siege.
- Disagreements between pro-UAE "Southern Giants Brigade" and pro-Saudi "PLC" forces continue as the former (which is mostly based in Aden) criticizes the pro-Saudi side for its lack of fighting for Taizz.
- Yemeni government leadership vowed to begin a full-scale operation to liberate Yemen from the Houthis.
- Houthi forces have yet again struck the East-West Pipeline in Saudi Arabia.
- A new UKMTO Warning was just issued for an incident in the Red Sea, which may be related to the Houthi blockade against Saudi Arabia.
- Saudi forces are reportedly preparing for an offensive in western Yemen.
