Pablo Picasso
Woman in a Yellow Hat (Jacqueline), 1961

Once, at a local market, a woman approached Pablo Picasso and handed him a sheet of paper.

“Mr. Picasso,” she said excitedly, “I’m such a great admirer of yours. Would you mind drawing something for me?”

Picasso happily agreed and swiftly captured his artwork on the page. With a smile, he handed the sheet back and said:

“That will be one million dollars.”

“But Mr. Picasso,” the woman exclaimed in disbelief, “you only spent about 30 seconds creating this little masterpiece!”

“My dear lady,” Picasso replied with a smile, “it took me thirty years to draw this in thirty seconds.”
