IS SHE DRIVING PEOPLE MAD? The story behind the cursed painting “Rain Woman” 🌧
Svetlana Telets painted it in Vinnytsia in 1996, finishing in five hours. She later said that for six months she’d felt watched, and while painting, an unseen force seemed to guide her hand. Its eerie reputation stems from real events: it was bought three times and returned each time because owners couldn’t stand the atmosphere it brought to their homes.
The first owner couldn’t sleep, sensing “someone else” in the apartment. The second returned it without asking for a refund, saying the woman appeared in his dreams every night, wandering like a shadow.
Most unsettling are the eyes: tightly shut, but pale, undefined lids create the illusion of pupil-less white sockets. The third buyer said those eyes appeared everywhere, causing headaches and intense anxiety.
Would you dare hang it in your bedroom?
