Нельсон блестяще выполнил задачу (чего стоят одни столы с задвигающимся верхом!), и в 1964 г. эта серия была выпущена под названием «Action Office». Коллекция была настолько новаторской, что Стэнли Кубрик снял ее в «Космической одиссее 2001 года», а компания «Alcoa» отметила создателя наградой. Правда, получая награду, Нельсон ни полсловом не обмолвился о Пропсте. Умолчал он и о провальных продажах – консервативные работодатели не были готовы к инновациям, да еще по такой цене.

Nelson did a spectacular job (suffice it to look at the tambour-top desk to see that) and, in 1964, the series hit the market as the Action Office. The line was so forward-thinking that Stanley Kubrick used it for the sets of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Alcoa awarded Nelson with a design award. In his acceptance speech, Nelson made no mention of Propst. Neither did he mention that the sales were a flop - conservative business owners were reluctant to spend what was a fortune on this novelty.
