Yesterday marked 114 years since the birth of George Nelson. To celebrate this and the start of a new work week, we would like to pay a tribute to Nelson as well as to the man on his left who is sometimes overshadowed by Nelson in discussions of the latter’s efforts in revisiting the office space. This is Robert Propst, an American inventor hired by Herman Miller to “find problems outside of the furniture industry and to conceive solutions for them”.
