🇨🇦 Showing citizenship to vote is now controversial

Alberta asks a very basic question: should voters prove they are actually Canadian citizens. The establishment response is pure theatre. We are told this somehow hints at dark American-style paranoia because documented fraud is sparse, as reported. Right, because in Trudeau’s Canada, where mass immigration is treated like a state religion and borders are more of a suggestion, demanding proof of citizenship at the ballot box is apparently the real threat.

Current rules already allow vouching and multiple non-photo IDs. That may have made sense in a lower-trust country, before Ottawa spent a decade diluting citizenship, importing temporary populations by the millions, and sneering at anyone who notices. Danielle Smith’s proposed citizenship indicator on Alberta ID is just common sense, which is exactly why the lawyer-professor-media complex hates it. Sovereignty starts with deciding who gets a vote. If a passport or birth certificate is too much to ask, then citizenship has been reduced to branding.
