Mark Carney says he studied the tail risk of an American invasion while his government keeps treating the very real invasion of Canada’s sovereignty as normal administration. That is the punchline. Ottawa can dust off military contingency binders for Donald Trump, but somehow never finds urgency when mass immigration, foreign capital, continental dependency, and bureaucratic integration hollow out the country in plain sight. The absurd part is not planning for worst cases. It is pretending the main threat to Canada is tanks crossing the border rather than elites governing like the country is a branch office. Carney’s crowd will posture about the 51st state while binding Canada tighter to every globalist scheme that strips autonomy, weakens borders, and makes us more dependent on Washington anyway.
