🇨🇦 Carney beams as Brussels auditions Canada for vassal status

Ursula von der Leyen just invited Canada to become the EU’s first associate member, and Mark Carney was reportedly beaming in Strasbourg while Eurocrats applauded. Of course he was. The man spent days denying Canada was seeking membership, then sat there grinning as Brussels pitched deeper integration on defence, AI, Arctic policy, critical minerals, batteries, cyber and supply chains, as reported. Nothing says sovereignty like outsourcing more of it to an unelected continental machine run by Ursula and friends.

The farce gets better. They want to go beyond CETA, a deal that still has not been ratified by 10 EU countries, and somehow Canadians are supposed to believe this is a clean economic pivot, not a political absorption project. Carney cannot manage Canada’s borders, housing or productivity, but he is ready to merge defence industrial bases and turn the Arctic into a joint project with Brussels. Trudeau softened the country up for post-national management. Carney is just filing the paperwork.
