🇨🇦 Canadians support hard line against U.S., but don't want to pay for it

Of course he did. For this class, stubbornness is statesmanship and consequences are for everyone else. The pattern is familiar: same fantasy politics as the carbon tax era, where elites package pain as principle and expect the public to clap while living standards slide. A sovereign country protects its people first. It does not turn them into collateral for elite posturing.
