Advance polls are open, and Quebecers are being asked to pick managers while the real architecture of Canada keeps getting bulldozed from Ottawa. The election ritual rolls on, neat and democratic on the surface, as if provincial campaigns can somehow insulate Quebec from the Trudeau legacy of mass immigration, cultural dilution, fiscal decay, and federal power creep. Quebec has spent years posturing as the guardian of language and identity while staying inside a federation run by ideological tourists and managerial globalists. You cannot defend national character with one hand and tolerate a federal machine importing demographic change with the other. That contradiction is the whole Canadian model now: local elections, central sabotage. If Quebec wants survival instead of ceremony, it needs more than turnout and campaign slogans.
