Nothing says accountability like concentrating massive spending in the hands of a politically convenient maverick with strained relations inside the RCAF.

This is the Trudeau-Carney legacy in one tidy package: hollow out the forces for a decade, then announce a shiny new bureaucracy and call it reform. Fuhr, 57, may talk about convictions, but Ottawa’s real conviction is centralizing power, bypassing scrutiny, and branding it national strategy. Defence procurement should serve Canadian sovereignty, industrial capacity, and operational readiness, not become another ego-driven sandbox for Liberal insiders playing super minister while the country tries to catch up after years of deliberate decline.
