🇨🇦 Canada’s human-rights museum can’t stop importing foreign sectarian politics
A federally funded museum in Winnipeg is supposedly dedicated to universal human rights, yet its board is bogged down fighting over a Nakba exhibit. That tells you everything about elite Canada in 2026: endless energy for symbolic ideological trench warfare, none for the civic cohesion of the country paying the bills. Internal records show the board was divided over whether this belonged in the museum at all. Fair question. Since when did Canadian institutions become therapy chambers for every imported grievance on Earth.
This is the Trudeau-era legacy in one neat taxpayer-funded package: no borders in policy, no confidence in national identity, and no instinct to ask whether a Canadian museum should focus on Canada first. Our public institutions are now expected to curate global conflict narratives while ordinary Canadians deal with housing collapse, social fragmentation, and cultural exhaustion. The managerial class calls that inclusion. Normal people call it mission creep with a side of demographic reality.
