🇨🇦 Ottawa finds billions for slogans, not basics
Here is the Trudeau-era miracle: endless lectures about reconciliation, climate, and equity, yet First Nations are still facing wildfire season with housing and infrastructure gaps that make evacuation and recovery harder, as reported. The same federal machine that can print money for consultants, DEI bureaucracy, and imported population growth somehow cannot deliver durable roads, reliable housing, and emergency readiness for communities already under its jurisdiction. What a stunning coincidence.
This is what post-national governance looks like in Canada: performative morality on TV, state failure on the ground. Ottawa loves symbolic guilt because it is cheaper politically than competence. The globalist class will sermonize about climate apocalypse, then ignore the unglamorous nation-building work of infrastructure, local resilience, and civil protection. A serious country secures its own people first and builds capacity where Canadians actually live. Our ruling class prefers hashtags, panels, and managed decline with a land acknowledgement stapled on top.
