This is a ridiculous report.
The so-called "Mother of All Bombs" would be useless against Pickaxe Mountain and its underground facilities.
People apparently don't understand where that mountain is located.

I guarantee the US won't fly an MC-130 deep into Iran.
The GBU-43/B (nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs") is not a particularly useful bomb. That's why it has hardly ever been used.
‼️ The Mother of All Bombs, Oh My!
I note lots of talk about the US planning to use GBU-43/B bombs against Iran. Nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs" (MOAB), it is a large thermobaric airburst gravity bomb that is carried by slow-flying MC-130 aircraft.
It is NOT a ground-penetrating bomb. And it is most certainly NOT a stand-off munition. It must be dropped from a position in close proximity to its target.
Furthermore, only 15 were ever built. Maybe a dozen remain.
I cannot conceive of any particularly useful application of this bomb against targets in Iran. There is no way they're going to attempt to penetrate deeply into Iran with lumbering MC-130s. The aircraft would get shot down.
I mean, maybe they could drop a couple on facilities on Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf, or on coastline cities. But the MOAB is a bomb whose supposed awesomeness is more myth that reality.
