📌 Gorgan, IRNA – Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, deputy for political affairs of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), underscoring the full combat readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces to counter potential threats, says any miscalculation by the enemy will prompt a crushing response.
Speaking at the Administrative Council of the northern province of Golestan on Wednesday, General Javani addressed the regional and global consequences of the US-Israeli aggression, stating that the war imposed on Iran is not labeled a world war, but global public opinion considers it one.
He explained that the US-Israeli war on Iran had the same nature and characteristics as World Wars I and II, which impacted the global order, the geometry of power, and the shifting power equation—creating new realities.
The Iranian nation, the Resistance Front, and the Muslim countries of the region would witness the Islamic Republic emerging victorious, he emphasized, adding that the reason US President Donald Trump is reluctant to accept defeat is his anxiety over the domestic repercussions of the Iranian nation's victory.
Elaborating on US calculations before the start of the "Ramadan War" in February, he said the enemies were under the impression that, through the new aggression—specifically the sinister plot involving the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution—they could achieve their objectives in days, but in vain.
Pointing to the Leader's assessment before the war, General Javani said the same perspective was held by Imam Khomeini—that "America can't do a damn thing against us"—and the view held by Martyr Soleimani—that 'if you start the war, we will dictate its end'—were present in this conflict as well.
The IRGC official noted that even American politicians had acknowledged that Trump held no more military trump cards against Iran, whereas Iran still possesses such advantages. Any mischief by the enemy will prompt Iran's crushing and decisive responses, he added.
Referring to Iran's evolving capabilities, he said new technologies, weaponry, and equipment have bolstered the country's defense—a reason the US was forced to move its aircraft carriers some 700 to 800 kilometers away. "Today, the Persian Gulf region—which previously hosted over 100 military vessels and warships—is free of foreign military forces."
General Javani further noted that the enemy might once again commit a miscalculation; however, Iran has moved past the danger of a surprise invasion and is now well-prepared to respond to the enemy and counter any potential errors on its part.
On US economic pressure, he said the enemy had calculated that it might be possible to pressure Iran through a naval blockade, yet such an option is not feasible given the country's geography, its neighbors, and existing interconnections and interdependencies.
"Soon, the world will acknowledge that neither a naval blockade can bring Iran to its knees, nor are air or land blockades viable options," he said, adding that the enemy resorted to such measures after failing in its imposed war, psychological operations, and cognitive warfare.
