📌 Tehran, IRNA – Referring to the explicit demands made of European capitals during yesterday’s meeting between the Foreign Minister and foreign ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that very single European country that placed its territory or facilities at the disposal of the aggressors must be held accountable for its actions; for this constitutes a clear instance of participation and complicity in the crime of international aggression and the use of force against an independent state and UN member.
Elaborating on the reasons for and key topics of the foreign minister's recent meeting with ambassadors, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, and representatives of international organizations based in Tehran, Baqaei said that this meeting took place following the return from the UN General Assembly's annual session in New York. It is customary to hold such meetings with diplomats based in Tehran after this major international event to explain the positions of Iran and the key issues addressed during the visit to New York.
Baqaei identified explicit demands directed at European capitals as a key focus of the meeting with diplomats based in Tehran, saying that the NATO Secretary General has recently admitted—for the umpteenth time—that the territory, facilities, and military bases located in European countries were utilized to prepare and orchestrate illegal, aggressive attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This fact has been recorded in the historical archives, demonstrating that Iranians stood firm against two malevolent armies—as well as the numerous nations supporting them—thereby showcasing the epic grandeur of the Iranian people's resistance, he added.
