📌 Tehran, IRNA — Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Doha late on Monday for talks with Qatari officials on bilateral security cooperation and regional developments.
Momeni was officially received by Qatari Minister of State Abdulaziz bin Faisal. His visit comes at the official invitation of Qatari Interior Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, according to Iran’s Interior Ministry.
During the visit, Momeni is scheduled to hold talks with his Qatari counterpart and other officials on bilateral relations and security cooperation.
The agenda includes information exchange and operational cooperation in combating terrorism and organized crime, fighting drug trafficking, border and maritime security, cybersecurity, and international police cooperation.
Regional developments, cooperation on border equipment and technology, consular and expatriate affairs, and educational and academic cooperation are also among the issues to be discussed.
Momeni is accompanied by several Iranian officials, including Tehran Governor Mohammad-Sadegh Motamedian and Hormozgan Governor Mohammad Ashouri.
