📌 Tehran, IRNA — Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a senior member of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, says Tehran will continue to maintain firm control over the Strait of Hormuz, calling it an unchangeable policy of the Islamic Republic.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a memorial service for Badr al-Sadat Araghchi, the foreign minister's sister, on Sunday, Boroujerdi said the Islamic Republic of Iran has firmly maintained control over the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that this situation will continue and that it is an unchangeable policy of Iran.
Regarding the issues between Iran and the United States, he said that Trump has consistently used threatening rhetoric toward Iran, and this behavior is nothing new, adding that Iranians have become accustomed to the US president's remarks and the irregularities in his rhetoric.
Boroujerdi stressed that Iran would continue firmly on its current path, maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, and not back down from its positions. Based on the facts on the ground, Iran is the winner of this war in the Strait of Hormuz, he said, adding that this policy would continue firmly.
