📌 Tehran, IRNA – The ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand, the Vatican, and South Africa have met with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest status of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and their respective countries of assignment.
Nasseredin Heidari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand, met on Monday with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest state of relations between Tehran and Bangkok and future prospects.
Highlighting Thailand’s position in Southeast Asia and ASEAN, Araghchi emphasized strengthening relations between Tehran and Bangkok—particularly in the economic and trade sectors—and activating existing potential in the political, economic, and parliamentary arenas.
Furthermore, while reviewing various aspects of Iran-Thailand relations, the two sides examined ways to more effectively utilize mutual potential and create new avenues for expanding bilateral ties.

Additionally, Mohammad-Hossein Mokhtari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Vatican, met and held talks with the Foreign Minister today.
During the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador to the Vatican presented a report on the mission's latest activities and outlined upcoming plans to expand and enhance cooperation between Iran and the Vatican.
During this meeting, the latest status of bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Vatican, the potential inherent in shared religious values, and the role of interfaith dialogue in expanding and deepening ties between the two sides were also discussed and reviewed.
Meeting between Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to South Africa and Minister of Foreign Affairs
Mansour Shakib-Mehr, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to South Africa, also met with the Foreign Minister to discuss the current state of relations between Tehran and Pretoria and future prospects.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister highlighted South Africa's status and role within the African continent and in international organizations such as BRICS, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between Tehran and Pretoria.
Araghchi also commended the initiatives undertaken by the missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran—particularly the mission in South Africa—in the realm of media and digital diplomacy, as well as the efforts made during the forty-day war, which had a significant impact and resonance among global public opinion.
