๐ Tehran, IRNA โ The Yemeni Foreign Ministry, responding to the fresh Saudi aggression against the country, has emphasized the need for continuing resistance and retaliatory strikes aimed at lifting the illegal blockade on Yemen.
According to a report by the Lebanese Al Mayadeen network on Saturday, the Ministry asserted, in a statement, that Saudi Arabia's continued violations of Yemen's sovereignty and airspace, along with its targeting of the country, necessitate a reciprocal response.
โ
Denouncing the ongoing Saudi attacks on the Yemeni capital and other provinces, the statement called for legitimate measures by the armed forces to halt the aggression that has left a trail of death and destruction since Riyadh renewed its attacks.
โ
There is a necessity of continuing the battle for freedom, independence, the lifting of the blockade, and the recovery of Yemen's wealth, it noted, citing the persistent crimes committed against the Yemeni nation.
โ
The statement came just hours after Saudi warplanes launched airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and Saada, targeting several areas in Yemen over two hours, including telecommunications networks in the Haydan and Saqin districts of Saada Governorate.
โ
The Yemeni Health Ministry announced that Saudi warplanes also targeted an area adjacent to the Al-Sabeen Hospital for Women, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics this afternoon, causing extensive damage to the facility.
