📌 Tehran, IRNA - President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated the country’s sports delegation on its performance at the Asian Games in Nagoya, describing the success as a valuable display of the will, hope, and capability of Iranian youth.
In a message published Sunday, Pezeshkian said the delegation, competing under the title “Angels of Minab,” secured 52 medals despite the difficult conditions facing the Iranian nation from imposed wars and their consequences.
He said the athletes entered the arena with motivation, perseverance, and confidence in their own abilities, demonstrating their merit on the field.
Pezeshkian also praised the performance of Iran’s female athletes, who won three gold, seven silver, and five bronze medals, the best result in the history of Iranian women’s sports at the Asian Games.
He said this showed that when given the opportunity to grow and compete, Iranian women can bring honor at the highest Asian and global levels.
