📰 Apple has introduced a super-massive Phone Grip & Stand

🖌️ The gadget was created in collaboration with artist Bailey Hikawa — according to her, the accessory is designed for people with impaired muscle strength, coordination, and hand dexterity. However, well-known blogger Ben Geskin (in the last photo) has found a no-less practical use for the new device.

🧐 How exactly this huge contraption is supposed to be more convenient than a regular grip — Apple still hasn’t explained.

🔦 Apple adds “Edge Light” in macOS Tahoe 26.2 beta 2

📰 A week ago, Apple released macOS Tahoe 26.2 Beta 2 for developers — and it includes a new feature called Edge Light. The feature creates a glowing white border around the display, turning the screen into an improvised ring light. It helps when you’re poorly lit on video calls — especially in a dark room.

• The lighting adjusts to your face position using the Apple Neural Engine
• Adjustable color temperature: cool, neutral, warm
• Auto-activation in low-light conditions on Macs with Apple Silicon
• Subtle border: hides when your cursor approaches the screen’s edge
• Works in FaceTime, Zoom, Teams, and other apps

📆 The public release of macOS Tahoe 26.2 is expected in December.

😐 Apple to release iPhone cases with touch-sensitive interfaces

📰 According to Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital, Apple is developing official iPhone cases that don’t just protect the device but act as secondary touch surfaces for future iPhone Pro models.

ℹ️ The cases may include capacitive or pressure-based sensors, allowing taps, swipes, and gestures on the case itself instead of physical buttons. Some versions could even have Touch ID built into the case.

🔎 Apple’s 2024 patent describes how the iPhone would recognize the case and reroute controls to the accessory, effectively making the case part of the input system.

📆 No specific release dates or exact features of the cases have been announced yet.

📆 Apple is abandoning its traditional September Apple Event format

📰 According to Bloomberg, Apple is preparing major changes to its presentation format. The company plans to move away from its usual “fall event” and start releasing models twice a year.

This means the Event schedule will look like this:

🆕 iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the first foldable iPhone — fall 2026;

🆕 iPhone 18, 18e, and an updated iPhone Air — spring 2027.

This will be the first time Apple’s smartphone lineup includes as many as six models at once.

🚨 Tim Cook could step down as Apple CEO as early as next year

📰 According to the Financial Times, Apple’s board and senior leadership have accelerated their succession planning.

• The leading candidate to replace Cook is John Ternus, Senior VP of Hardware Engineering.

• Sources say the decision is not related to weak performance — Apple is actually expecting a strong holiday quarter.

• The official announcement of the new CEO will likely come after the company reports its January 2026 results, once holiday sales are accounted for.

Do you think this leadership change will be good for Apple?

🙅‍♂️ Apple delays next @iPhone Air release

📰 According to The Information, Apple will not release the next version of the iPhone Air in the fall of 2026 as originally planned.

😏 The model, launched in 2025, was positioned as a thinner and lighter alternative within the flagship iPhone lineup. However, the sleek design came with trade-offs — a smaller battery and downgraded cameras.

📉 Sources say demand for the device has been weaker than expected, especially in China, where the iPhone Air is sold without a physical SIM tray and supports eSIM only. Apple declined to comment on the report.
