👂 Quick Share on Android is becoming even more friendly to the Apple ecosystem

Looks like the walls between ecosystems are slowly coming down.

💨 Android Authority reports: Google has confirmed that Android’s compatibility with AirDrop from Apple will soon roll out to many more devices — and will no longer be exclusive to Pixel phones.

🎤 At a press conference in Taipei, Android’s VP of Engineering Eric Kay said that in 2026 the feature will expand across a much wider range of devices, with support not only for iPhones, but also iPads and MacBooks.

ℹ️ Google has also turned Quick Share into a standalone app on Google Play — making file transfers and switching from Apple devices to Android easier than ever.
