🤥 Trump eyes using ‘mother of all bombs’ against Iran

As Donald Trump weighs further escalation against Iran, the Pentagon is preparing strike options involving the US military’s largest non-nuclear bomb, reports CNN.

🔴 potential targets of the Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb or MOAB GBU-57A/B include “a lot of energy infrastructure” and Iranian deeply buried nuclear facilities

🔴 attack would come “prior to US retrograde in CENTCOM AOR (area of responsibility)”

🔴 floated plan reportedly presupposes one final barrage, declaring victory, then beating a hasty retreat from the region

The Pentagon plans reportedly include deploying the MOAB against Iranian nuclear sites, including Pickaxe Mountain - an alleged underground nuclear facility built into the Kuh-e Kolang Gaz La mountain range ~1.5 km from the Natanz uranium enrichment site.

👉 The Iranian tunnel complex is believed to be over 100 meters beneath solid rock capable of shielding it from direct hits by the “bunker buster” bombs used against Natanz and Fordow.

US War Secretary Pete Hegseth dodged a direct answer when asked at a Senate hearing whether the US can destroy what's hidden beneath Iran's Pickaxe Mountain.

Some US officials privately question whether further bombing can achieve Trump's objectives, as the administration is reportedly searching for a face-saving exit that could be presented as victory without closing the door to diplomacy.
