EMIGRATION TO THE FUTURE

пока меня не было, ребята, я успела получить такой невероятный опыт как волонтёрить на фестивале «emigration to the future» в берлине и писать текстовую колонку о происходящем на сайте феста.

фестиваль утопий проходил с 7 по 9 августа, кураторами были антон польский и всеволод лисовский. три дня, больше 50 работ среди которых перформансы, инсталляции, лекции и живые концерты. для меня это был опыт совершенно иного труда; я учился смотреть, слушать и делать частые записи. но мне хотелось чувствовать себя частью происходящего, а не просто наблюдательницей, поэтому весь третий день я почти не писал, но собирал архивы.

эти три дня превратились в недели работы. у меня оказалось очень много материала, и я всё ещё не закончила дневник. сегодня я публикую второй блок из трёх, по дням фестиваля. третий пока откладываю — он требует расшифровок, осмысления и времени.

в процессе работы я поняла, что для меня важнее всего не только описать события, но и зафиксировать свой физический опыт тела, проходящего через интеграцию, языковой барьер и постоянное его преодоление. я пыталась переводить некоторые фрагменты на английский и немного на немецкий, но основным языком колонки остался русский.

этот фестиваль стал для меня возвращением к дневнику после долгой паузы. этот дневник спровоцировал эту мою сегодняшнюю волонтерскую практику и стал формой связи с другими людьми.

волонтерство на фестивале было бесплатным для всех. мне было очень интересно, и я получила огромное удовольствие от взаимодействия с людьми. и всё же я была бы рада любой поддержке: я живу в берлине в общежитии и ищу квартиру с whs от jobcenter, мы с сыном переехали сюда почти год назад через лагерь для мигрантов, у меня нет постоянного дохода, и я ищу способы зарабатывать письмом, находясь в германии. у меня есть самозанятость. поддержать меня можно на patreon (чтобы сделать единоразовый донат необходимо отменить подписку)

я буду дополнять колонку, делать правки, комментарии, рассказывать о людях, с которыми познакомился на фестивале. продолжение скоро. vielen dank für ihre zeit!

Prof. Daniel Obenchain from the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen at Chto Delat Emergency Project Room entertained us with the talk:

“Teaching Chirality to my Tinder Date”

Synopsis:
Can I flirt with my date and still talk about my science? Oh sure, I communicate my research well enough to publish scientific articles, present at conferences, and secure funding. But can I ever get a second date?!? Discussions with other scientists about my research are often easier than chats about my work with a romantic interest. Join me as we explore how a topic like chemical chirality can be shared with a non-scientist in a more fun and attractive way, while carefully navigating the bad forms of scientific communication. 

Molecular chirality, dancing, drinking, snail sex, and unexpected performance by the Chto Delat group: all included!

"Voices of black holes: How the Einstein Telescope will shape the future of astronomy"
by Dr. Mikhail Korobko at Chto Delat.

Space-time, black holes and neutron stars, graviational wave telescopes, lasers, all of that you can learn from this talk!

Mikhail Korobko is a theoretical and experimental physicist with a PhD in quantum optics and gravitational-wave detection. He is currently a senior research scientist at the University of Hamburg and a member of the LIGO and the Einstein Telescope collaborations. He chairs the LIGO Quantum Noise Working Group and the Einstein Telescope Observatory Design and Noise Budget Working Group.
In 2024, he was awarded the Rudolf Kaiser Prize in recognition of his achievements as an outstanding young experimental physicist. As a member of the LIGO collaboration, he received the Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics for the first observation of gravitational waves. He has published extensively on quantum measurement, quantum optics, and gravitational-wave detection.

What can computational chemistry tell us about electrochemical reactions—and where does it fit within the broader landscape of modern chemistry? Computational electrosynthesis brings together quantum chemistry, electrochemistry, catalysis, and materials science to explain reaction mechanisms, predict reactivity, and guide experimental design. In this talk, we will explore why electrochemical systems are particularly challenging to model, what makes the electrochemical interface unique, which approximations are used to describe the processes occurring there, and how computational methods can translate molecular-level insight into practical strategies for reaction design and development.

Hansel and Gretel are lost in the future. To follow them, you’ll have to move through the city from point to point, with each location revealing another part of the story.
