"Autumn Landscape with Grouse", 1913

Artist / Bruno Liljefors
(1860โ€“1939)

๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”

Oil on canvas
70.5ร—99.5 cm

The artist employs a muted, earthy paletteโ€”shades of brown, ochre, gray, and beigeโ€”that evokes the quiet decay and stillness of autumn.

The brushwork is deliberately coarse, with broad, expressive strokes that convey texture and irregularity, enhancing the sense of wildness and natural authenticity.
