Dinnering is never leaving childhood in pieces. A favorite taste, a silly habit, the need to be held when the day has been too long. It means: learning which pieces were never meant to be left behind. / @DiningOutBot.

πŸ«– TEATIME’S BROADCAST:

Somewhere between then and now, we learned how to feed ourselves. We learned what we liked, what we could stomach, what we had to leave untouched. Good morning to the lunch table across from us: EirzhΓ€el Ashmee, Jahnir Saleem, Leith ZhavΓ©er, Matthias Chalice, Oliver Haden, & SulatiΓ₯ Mai! You have nothing to prove here. So come hungry, dear warm-palmed Diners. π“π“Ž©

Aster in Matter: Hiring! Few words from the House… Let your curiosity take you to @Dinnering when you find the time! ;) They’re bringing out another new concept, and, as ever, they’ve brought their own sense of taste with them. There is something rather nice about people who keep finding new ways to dress the same old room. Anyway, I thought some of you might like what they have waiting there. Go see for yourselves! ;3
Good morning from the south, our beloved baobei! β˜€ Let us have this morming to leave a letter to our dearest darling, @Stillmatter, pleaaase. :-D Seems like someone’s family is being sweet per usual, and oh, what a joy to be loved by them! The only gratitude we can offer aside overflowing good prayers of fortune is to highly advise our aegis to come stop by the always-mattered greenhouse after school today. πŸ₯— There you’d see how their symbolic white of a dove’s pure love really engraved deep within their veins through the warm sanctuary offered by both the Asters & their precious Keeper Mama! <3 Who knows that you may learn a thing or two from them when they open the doors and windows again... Or mayhaps, blessed be the joy of finding a true love? Your call! ;3 🀍

With our little house finally opening the door again, we would love to give you a teasing nudge regarding how tomorrow and the upcoming days will be so much more of a fun time to spend! πŸ‘€

On our board, we’ve laid out the plans that tomorrow will be the release to three major agendas: a dedicated housewarming for our July-entry Diners, an official open-for-reservation event to our luncheon party, & a new box of thoughts to exchange a word or two until we stop by the home through this weekend. So much more things are ahead of us, but everything mentioned above shall have the better spotlight for now! Henceforth, take a seat and hold on tight, perhaps don’t forget to bring yourself some band-aids because we promise that this new experience will make you fall harder and harder for us! ;) 🩹

Good evening, aegiiis! β™₯️ It’s been ages since the last time we really saw you.... ;_[ It was such a long vacation we took now, wasn’t it? After all, if you’ve forgotten it already, we served you for the whole Β± 6-7 months with no breaks! We fear making it longer would strain how we do our service around the block.... </3 Regardless! We are now here again, yippie! Please show us your festive reactions to celebrate our re-birthday! πŸŽ‚

THE SEAT ACROSS FROM US:
WHO DID WE THINK
WE’D BECOME?

πŸͺ‘πŸ’
β €β €
Sometimes I wonder about the person who imagined this life before I ever lived it. Would they recognize me across the table? Would they know the things I still love, the things I had to lose, the things I never expected to want? Perhaps I am not who they dreamed of becoming. But I hope they would still pull out the chair and sit beside me.

THANK YOU FOR WHO WE WERE.

THE HANDS UNDERNEATH,
πŸ€ THOSE WHO LOVE & GROW.

β €β €
Every table has its keepers. The hands that set the plates, pull out the chairs, remember your place. Not always to tell you what to do, but to make sure there is somewhere for you to return to. Perhaps care is simply knowing when to reach across, and when to let someone sit quietly beside you.

THE THINGS THAT REMAIN:
LITTLE PROOFS
OF WHO YOU WERE.
🌳

β €β €

The years leave their evidence everywhere. You think you have outgrown a person simply because you have grown around them. But memory is stubborn.

It leaves fingerprints on the life you build, crumbs beneath the table, handwriting in the margins. The child does not always ask to come back. And perhaps this is what growing older really means: less becoming someone new, more discovering how many old selves have been living inside you all along.

THE CHILD WE CARRY β€”
IS WHAT WE KEEP,
& WHAT WE OUTGROW FROM

There was a time when growing up sounded like a promise. We thought twenty years would be enough to become someone certain, someone accomplished, someone our younger selves would look at with wonder. And yet, here we are, still carrying the same small hungers. β€” To be curious. To be held. To make something for no reason. To laugh without checking the time. To find an afternoon worth remembering simply because it was ours.

Perhaps growing up was never meant to be an eviction. Perhaps the younger self does not disappear; they simply move to a quieter room within us, waiting for the door to be opened again. The table is still there. We only have to remember our way back.

IF THEY MET US:
WOULD THEY KNOW US?

I sometimes think about the person I was twenty years ago. Not because I want to become them again, but because I wonder what they thought becoming an adult would feel like. Maybe I’d like to meet them again.

(Did they imagine me like this? Did they imagine the things I would love, the people I would meet, the things I would carry? Did they know that somewhere along the way, I would become too busy to play, too tired to wonder, too grown to admit that I still wanted the same little things?)
